Warren Farm is located on The Emigrant Trail which follows the route taken by former USA President J. F.Kennedy on his historic visit to New Ross in 1963. 

The Emigrant Trail links 3 major heritage sites, JFK Homestead the JFK Memorial Forest Park and Dunbrody Emigrant Ship in New Ross.

The Hook Peninsula

Dunmore East Harbour

 

Dunbrody Famine Ship berthed on New Ross quayside, provides a unique experience to travel back in time as a passenger on this replica of the original tall ship "Dunbrody" which regularly sailed from New Ross to New York and Quebec in the 1800s.

"Dunbrody" carried emigrants to North America and timber on the return journey.

John F. Kennedy Arboretum, a huge forest park  2 miles from Warren Farm, has 4500 different types of trees and shrubs from all over the world, a lake, café & visitor centre. From the mountain viewing point you can see 6 counties!

Ros Tapestry is an ambitious exhibition

of hand-stitched panels depicting our Norman history and the founding of New Ross by influential Norman Earl William Marshall and his Irish wife Isabella de Clare, daughter of the King of Leinster. 

Begun in 1998, the 15 large panels were designed by artist Ann Griffin Bernstorff and stitched by voluntary embroiderers.

See them for yourself at the new  exhibition centre on New Ross quayside. 

 

 

Oaklands Fishing Lake is a small well-run fishing facility, popular with locals and visitors, in an attractive woodland setting, close to New Ross and within 5 miles of Warren Farm

 

Children welcome. Disabled facilities. Shop sells bait, angling gear and refreshments.

Dunbrody Abbey

A 12th Century Cistercian monastery ruin near Warren Farm also has a hedge maze, 9-hole family golf course, museum, crafts, tea rooms.

Located 4 miles from Warren Farm.

 

Kennedy Homestead

The home of President John F. Kennedy's great grandfather. A visitor centre in the original farmyard has audio visual, photo exhibition, archive material and guided tours.  Located 2 miles from Warren Farm

 

The Irish National Heritage Park, beside the river Slaney near Wexford town has examples of settlements from different periods of history in woodland clearings, giving an idea of lifestyles from 9,000 years ago up to the 12th Century. A great family day out!  Complete with good Restaurant and craft/gift shop.
